Indoor snow, skinny minnies, food.

Mama! It's snowing! (Mike: "you know things are bad when you have to use a rake to clean your bedroom!")

  • Mama! It's Snowing!
  • Are there really 2 year olds out there whose waist is as big as the waist of your average 2T jeans? None of my children have ever fit into a pair that did not have adjustable waists. Well, they fit in, they just don't STAY in.
  • I'm trying to make a grocery list to get us through to Thanksgiving. I'm struggling to find anything that I want to make. Suggestions?
  • We have not one single plan for Thanksgiving. I am both thrilled to have  quiet day and a bit sad to miss all the celebration. We'll still make the feast, but it won't be quite the same.
  • Just when Mike and I think we can live without cable, we get hooked on some show. This time it's The Next Iron Chef (again.)

What I Read This Week:

  1. I can't help laughing at the 'snow'. I am sure it wasn't as delightful to clean up...

  2. I just checked out The Warmth of Other Suns...am hoping I enjoy it - it looks so long!
I did like Running Away to Home, but of course, I love memoirs.

  3. Clothing sizes for toddlers are crazy - Vance never fit in the ones that were his age. We haven't even thought about Thanksgiving yet.

  4. Depends on brand I think. Elle has some 18 month jeans from Target that are huge on her but her Old Navy 24m jeans are snug. I'm not moving to 2T until I have to.

LOVE this picture. I also love that you TOOK the picture. :)

We don't have any plans for Thanksgiving either. Seems weird when usually we're trying to divide the holidays three ways (not including ourselves as a way).

  5. I sometimes wish that we actually lived further away on holidays so we didn't have all the rush of getting places, balancing two families, eating multiple huge meals. A couple of years ago we had a blizzard at Christmas and as much as I missed being with our family, I absolutely loved being with just us for those long days. Of course, that was with 3 grown children who thoroughly enjoyed the chance to have the time to relive so many childhood traditions fully.

  6. LMAO! I just love this picture although at the time I'm sure you weren't very pleased. But it is just priceless :) We make fruit pizza every year that goes over really well my little ones. I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family!

  7. I laughed when I saw your photo as, we've been on a shredding frenzy lately and our basement rug looks much like yours. Enjoy your Thanksgiving Lisa.

  8. I love the Princess. I know it makes a lot of extra work for you when she makes it snow or pulls ALL the books of the shelf again and AGAIN, but those are some REALLY CUTE moments. ^_^
